The Chaperone
by Laura Moriarty
by Laura Moriarty
I had not heard of Louise Brooks until I read "The Chaperone" and then realized she actually existed! The story was enjoyable from the beginning, but as the saga continued, it became more so! Women's lives in the 1920s, society's rules, and the importance of good etiquette made me reach again and again for more information about this era. And now I'd to read the actual biography of Louise Brooks!
