First off I would like to say that the story of Louis Zampernini's life is an amazing story, and I feel that if his story had been written by someone like Jon Krakauer that I would be giving it 5 stars. However, this book is poorly written and I found myself wanting to put the book down and read something else due to the monotonous detail that the author goes into describing all of the trials our hero endures. I also feel like although this is a "true story" that a great deal of it is exaggerated for effect. Specifically, the part of the book where Zampernini is repeatedly fighting off sharks in the open water with his fists. Anyway, this guy's story is an amazing one. The storyteller of his story let him down.
