really liked it
Read in August, 2008

I picked this book up at the 2008 RWA National Conference. I read the first chapter to find a quote for a contest the author was having for the latest ARC in the series... And then I could not put it down.

The introduction of the charcters and inner conflict of the hero grabbed me immediatly. The Nightwalker race of Demons was real the instantly, and their difference from the other night races was sprinkled through out the story so I didn't feel like it was a huge history lesson.

The introduction of the lead female character changes while expected on one level were very unexpected in the overall threat and necessity to the Demon race.

The introduction of a WIDE cast of characters, many of whom have their own books in the series, was well written and each leapt from the page fully developed and in no way a replica or repeat of the others.

I look forward to the rest of the series, and promised the author when I won the ARC I would read them in order.

Gideon - You're next!
