holy smokes! I have so many other things on my reading in-progress pile, but this has blown everything else out of the water, in just the past 3 hours.
I am only half-way through, but I am loving this book, and have dog-earred it for 2 friends.
pages 109-113 are MADE for your reading enjoyment, mbw.
neglected positives. yes!
the chapter entitled "Cheese Fries" demonstrates the first real true best example of email in a YA book that I've seen so far--the subject lines make it real and also brilliant--not at all forced and trying to be "email"...i guess the way to put this is: I feel like e.lockhart does email. ...I've not been sure of that with other authors who've used the email format.
and then there's this, after a few chapters of Frankie reflecting on feeling delible and indelible...the chapter "Monster" opens with a bit of reflection about the dissolution of her relationship with Porter, the previous year, and the lingering bad-sa...more
