This is a collection of conversations that McDonald conducted over the years with a number of the most influential crime fiction writers of the modern age. Included are interviews with Lee Child, James Crumley, Daniel woodrell, James Sallis and Elmore Leonard, among others. The writers discuss their books, the characters they've created, the process of writing, and the toll that the writing life has sometimes exacted. Aspiring writers and fans of crime fiction should find this book very interesting and entertaining.
