Read from August 21 to 26, 2012

Little hesitation between 4 and 5 stars but decided on the latter.

Voinov does what he knows best: describing people in all their beauty and ugliness. I really love this combo. Can't tell you exactly what it is about his writing that hits me hard everytime again and again. Way to go...

the best parts for me? the chapter about the russians... so so very powerful. That one sentence by Sergei 'it okay, I understand' *oh God damn*

and Paolo & Silvio, can it get any more heavy than that? i haven't read anything so powerfull in a long long time....

the reason why I'm hesitating between 4 or 5 stars is because of Stefano. really didn't feel this character like i'm used to. It's okay though :)

Glad this book was all about the blurry lines between love, hate and sex. thanks Aleks for erasing them. As a woman, I very much appreciate this.

More Voinov!!
