4.6/5
When I read the synopsis of ALIBI, I knew I had to read it. I found fascinating a book where each of the characters give us their POV's. Each book tells us how things are developing. It starts already with the death of our golden girl and then each of the details that lead us to how and why Abby died.
The first to tell the story is Charles, Australian boy who travels to USA to live with his uncles, fleeing a dark past. Charles is handsome, successful athlete and very nice, is the character that immediately won my heart. Then we read Palmer, a very intelligent girl of which our Charles falls in love. Then Mason, Charles cousin and Abby's boyfriend. Poor Mason, really gave me tenderness read about it, but there were also times when I could not stand him, even was very interesting to see things from him perspective. And finally we have Rowan, Abby's best friend and that definitely had something wrong in the head. As you can see, each of the characters is very different, with a distinct personality and together, lead us to know a story full of intrigue and mystery, where nothing is as it seems.
The story I liked it but it is a book you should not take to bed or the last thing that you'll think is in sleep. However, I can not help but notice that the end is inconclusive. Yes, we discover the murderer (I knew from the beginning, but that did not take away the emotion because with each chapter, things take a surprising twist), but lacked something.
In summary, Alibi tells a story that only gets more exciting with each page will keep you guessing what else will happen.
