really liked it

Fascinating read of a Polish officer who flees the Nazis, is captured by the Soviets and sent to a Siberian gulag. From there, he escapes with several other prisoners and eventually walks south to Mongolia, China, Tibet, and finally to freedom in India. Great story, especially the details of his capture, trial, and journey to the gulag.
