bookshelves: history

I've started reading The Diary of Anne Frank twice now and each time I do I can't get myself to finish the book because I know what is coming at the end. The Diary of Anne Frank is about a 13 year old Jewish girl who flews that Nazis and hides with her family in an attic for two years. One of the most well known books ever, The Diary of Anne Frank is a remarkable story. Students can learn a lot about how people have suffered during the Holocaust. I would use The Diary of Anne Frank as a read aloud book for a classroom sixth grade and above. I would read the story and then have students write in a daily journal just as Anne Frank did.
