The book is a good fantasy story which ties museum pieces, archeologists, and ancient egyptian curses. I would put it on a level with Rick Riordan's writing level. This book is different in that the main character doesn't interact with the gods and goddesses - at least in this first novel of the series. The time period seems to be pre-world war 1.
