I love the voice of the narrator. Many times I laughed out loud, especially when she made piercing comments about social situations. The story itself, though, felt rushed and I never really understood why Lucinda (the main character) acted the way she did. She didn't know either, but there were major plot developments involving drug addiction and making weird choices, and the question of where life is better - in NY or in a little town, though the supposed premise of the book, wasn't satisfactorily answered for me. It was fun to read, though, with all the quirky characters and especially the hilarious insights Lucinda made as she stumbled through.
