Terrific sci-fi read about a very fantastical future other Earth, Beta Earth. I loved this very unique story that centered around a girl who's been genetically changed for a purpose and her chance encounter with a boy from the streets. The ideas were intriguing and refreshingly unique and it was definitely a page turner. My only dislike of this novel was the constant switching from first to third person; that gave it a bit of an awkwardness. Also it seemed as if nearly all the characters spoke in the same detached way....could be just how humans in the distant future talk? I did also wish for more of a relationship / love story between the main characters. But overall, I think this was a great story and I look forward to more from this author!
