I love Carolyn Mackler so I was so excited to discover she wrote a book from V's point of view. Aimee once again let's down V- this time she is a no show at her graduation. Upset but not willing to admit it, V reacts by cheating on her nice guy boyfriend, Sam, thus breaking his heart. Sam runs off to Berkeley early and V mopes around. G-ma and G-dad want her to go see a therapist but Aimee has another idea- go to Texas for the summer and stay with her. V instantly falls in love with the idea of a cross country road trip. She convinces her grandparents and sets off. Vegan, Virgin Valentine is the better of the two but Guyaholic held its own. It was nice to know V a little better and see the strain relationship with her and Aimee. You feel her pain Aimee continuously lets her down. We meet people from her past- a young couple in Seattle and an ex boyfriend of Aimee's. Of course Mara makes an appearance (I was so heart broken to hear James and her are no more).
