This is a great story. Wasnt sure about the cow thing but I think being told in the first person sets the character up really well.
Had a great end too, even though it's predictable, the emotion is infectous.
Amongst it all, there is a parody somewhere, along the lines of - BELIEF CAN CONQUER ALL!
