I really wish there were half stars. This was not a genre bending, life altering 5 star book, but it was much much better than standard enjoyable YA.

In this final book in the series, the characters continue to deepen. I feel differently about Reth than I did in the first book, and differently than I felt in the second book - something very few people could make me do. This final story definitely forced Evie to grow up, face challenges, and most importantly choose between the "less wrong". She even built in assistance when that was too much to ask.

I love the way these characters banter with each other. It was by far my favorite part of the series, and this book had even more than the first two. Jack, specifically, is an amazing character who made me giggle and snort repeatedly.

If you like YA, and you're open to having some imagination, I STRONGLY recommend this series!
