Read in March, 2012

This was a charming and very sweet book about a 12-year-old girl who is saved from difficult family circumstances by going to live with her great-aunt in Savannah. Great female characters. Although it's written for adults, I would have probably loved this book just as much when I was 12. It would be a great mother-daughter read.
