Tony La Russa was one of the best managers of all time. Last year, he retired after winning his sixth world series title. Along with his numerous amount of titles he also has 12 pennants. This book not only chronicles step by step a three day series in August of 2003, but it tells about La Russa's life and legacy. You don't only need to be a Cardinal fan to enjoy this book. Any baseball fanatics will find much joy in this book. It's extremely interesting to find out how Tony schemes and his mindset before every game. No small detail goes unnoticed in his brilliant mind. Overall, this is a fantastic book.
