really liked it
bookshelves: archaeology, crime-fiction, mystery

As usual, this Kathy Reichs novel is gripping from the start. In includes murder, archeological digs and discoveries from the first century.
By strange coincidence, while I was reading the book, the local newspaper published an article about ancient texts and scrolls to be displayed at the Franklin Institute and detailed some of the controversy around the texts and ossuaries. These are some of the same controversies described in the book. So although the book is fiction, it draws heavily on science, including archeology. This approach is part of what makes her books so good!

I recommend it.
