Cool concept of a Piper, the hearing impaired high school main character, managing a band. She has issues with her parents with her decisions with the rock band, but the fact that Five Flavors of Dumb win the battle of the band competition makes the end of the story comforting, like all her struggle was worth it by the end. I would recommend this book to 9th-12th grade readers.
