it was amazing
bookshelves: adventure, americana, boy-hero, dystopia, friendship, sf, graphic-novel, series, survival, spies
Read in September, 2008

I've followed this series from beginning to end, always checking out the latest volume as soon as we get it at the library. I was hooked from the first volume, and the final one does not disappoint, offering up more than a few twists and surprises as Yorick's adventure comes to an end - or does it???

Deb I loved the ending, even though I hated the middle for the same reasons other people hate Little Women.

Wally OK, why do people hate Little Women? I confess I avoided that as a boy because it would seriously mark me.

Deb Because Beth dies! Or because Jo doesn't marry Laurie, her best friend, and then her sister does.

I love Alcott's other books, though (both the kid stories and gothicky stuff).

Rekha I didn't hate Little Women. Is that a wildly hated book? I didn't know that.
