Hmmm, 2nd wave feminism meets futuristic sci-fi?
It's mostly a good fit, if occasionally a bit tired with some of it's politics. It's also a treatise on the treatment of mental ilness and the connections between being "sick" and being poor, a woman, of color, or otherwise disenfranchised. It was a quick and fun read, perfect for the beach, poetic, sad, infuriating and satisfying.
