Looking at the Goodreads page for this book again, the thing that really strikes me is how shocking it is that this book is more than 400 pages long. I'm fairly certain that there wasn't enough plot and character development to fill that many pages. Or perhaps the book actually contained extensive visual representations of the artwork that the crazy demon child created to show the coming of the apocalypse. No, that would have made the book amazing, but I would have remembered that.

This was not a bad book. It was pretty amusing reading something that was one part horror story and two parts supernatural romance with dashes of satirical comedy thrown in. But the plot was pretty much as predictable as you can get, and then the author had to get all into how "love is the root of all magic," and it kind of broke the mood for me. Also, having two characters just talk about how they know they're soul mates doesn't make it ay more believable.
