I love Impressionism and this book gives you a wonderful story of an artist a female at that and one of her favorite models her sister. I like knowing the story behind paintings. I really looked forward to reading this book - it was written in a contented manner and the inclusion of pics of the paintings being spoken about was a great touch. And now I'd like to learn more about Degas - I didnt realize he and Mary were close friends. To have lived in Paris during this height of Impressionism must have been amazing.
