I LOVED the Darkness Chosen series. I LOVED the first 4 books of The Chosen Ones series. But this one was just a little weird for me, the ending a bit too sugary for my taste.

Well the first thing - The cover is MAJOR false advertising! Aleksandr is covered in hair for like 85-90 percent of the book! And when I say covered in hair, I mean - half animal :O

After waiting months for the ending of this series, I guess I anticipated the story to go in some other direction... Actually, the story itself was ok, but the most that bothered me was that the hero was part animal during the whole book. Ok I get it, if the heroine finds him sexy that's ok? No it's not, atleast not for me. Sorry, I'm not into hairy guys, but I could live with that if he wasn't also half animal. So, those two having sex, hmmm, not a big turn-on for me. Too bad, I kinda liked them before, and I wish Charisma could have had a relationship with Aleksandr himself, knowing it was him, and him being atleast somewhat normal. And I kinda expected that the Guardian/Aleksandr discovery would have some shock to it you know, an impact, a reaction like: "Woooow, you're Aleksandr :O :O :O *shocked gasp* " Instead it was: "Hmm maybe you're Alekandr. We'll see once you remember more." :P

The main story was good, like the others, a bit of explaining from the previous books but that was ok since I waited months to read this one and kinda forgot all the details :) Loved seeing the characters from both series together <3

The best scene was Charisma seeing the cave in the earth, and the choice she had to make :) That was beautiful :)

All have to say is - thank God this is over, and now I can do my re-reads of the Darkness Chosen series <3 <3 <3

Blacky *Mistress of doom* :))) Hope you'll like them :)

message 9: by Rae (new) - rated it 4 stars

Rae Thanks, I saw this advertised for my Nook and I loved the Beauty & the Beast imagery. I will add all of them to my wish list. :D

Blacky *Mistress of doom* Hm yes pretty much, it's an ongoing war in this paranormal world, lots of stuff explained and happened in the previous books. But if you decide you won't regret it, those first 4 are even better than this one :) love this series :)

Rae Do you need to read books 1-4 to understand this one? I love the blurb on this one!

Blacky *Mistress of doom* Hmm well, she kinda likes it loool a lot hahahahah but she claims she doesn't have a beast fetish XDXD

Stacia ~ Mistress of Mediocrity Oh, okay. I have read about partial shifts before. That's okay with me. As long as the hair isn't supposed to be a sexual thing.

Blacky *Mistress of doom* Well if you've read the previous books, you know that his family are all shifters, and so is he, only he is kinda half-shifted so he's not completely a wolf but then not a total human either. It's kinda weird I have to say lol

Stacia ~ Mistress of Mediocrity As in hair on a human, not a shifter? I am so not a fan of hairy men.

Blacky *Mistress of doom* LOL! By some luck I've managed to keep myself conscious XD Although I have to say, the cover of the book is MAJOR false advertising. I'm 70 % through the book and he's still hairy as an animal XD

Stacia ~ Mistress of Mediocrity Don't faint or you can't read the book!
