I really liked this book in general, but I think rather than challenging sexist stereotypes of women as weak and needing rescue, or tackling androgyny (which is far more complex in Japan than Western society) in a meaningful way, at times Tezuka-san tends to play into those stereotypes or glorify them.

However, I do really adore Sapphire as a character, and I'm intrigued by the plot.
