I have a lot of love for this series. While I wouldn't exactly call them excellent novels, nor could I praise them for having brilliant plotting, writing or character development, the fact is that this series is incredibly entertaining, amusing and absolutely enjoyable and I believe that's exactly what this series aims to do. I still really enjoyed this one, but the plotting was not as tight as with the first one, there were some predictable twists and the premise of this installment was surprisingly misleading because the novel focuses on Bedlam for all of more or less 50 pages and then focuses on another plot that made me skeptic. I did like the turn Rory's romantic life took, but I did not really appreciate the huge cliffhanger that brought the novel to an abrupt end. Still, I liked it and look forward to the next one.
