As an adult, I wasn't that impressed with the story. Boring, repetitive, predictable...and Peepsqueak is awkward to say over and over again. I never really cared about Peepsqueak or rooted for him to succeed, and he never really interacts with other characters. As an inspirational story, I think it fails in that regard. It's all about Peepsqueak trying to fly (which is fine), but in the end it's like the moral of the story is: "If you can't do something for yourself, have someone else do it for you." And once he "succeeds," he's off to something else.

But my son really enjoyed the repetition in the story and getting to participate with the "He was on the move!" lines. The illustrations are simple but very pretty. I just felt the plot-line could have ended better.
