This book felt like it was the one Snicket had been waiting to write. It was fast-paced and involved quite literally every character we've come into contact with thus far, in some capacity or another. A lot of the little hints that were dropped throughout the series started to come into play and it was interesting to see the choices the Baudelaires made. In many ways, those choices seemed fated or destined, which is simultaneously scary and hella cool. I especially loved that their character growth was so apparent herein, and it was awesome to see what went on behind the scenes with all of the characters we've loved and lost as the Baudelaires have chased and been chased throughout the series.

It's my first time reading this book and the finale of the series, so I can't wait to see how Snicket wraps everything up!
