Bruce Schneier covers an awful lot of ground in this book, some of it better than others. He attempts to explore the notion of a comprehensive theory of trust and security, in terms of trade-offs people make in their lives.
There are quite a few fascinating examples of security mechanisms, how security is enforced and how it's evaded.
All in all, a useful guide to how people who are working with security have to think in order to build systems of trust that actually work.
