Ok, let me start by saying I loved the characters and the story and romance and all the good (and hot and steamy) stuff this book had to offer. This was my first Jaci Burton novel, and I wasn't disappointed in what she had to offer in the romance department. That said, I found the sports portion of the book lacking. I love that she's writing about professional athletes, but as the wife of a (nonprofessional) hockey player and as an athlete myself and an avid sports fan, I found the parts of the book that covered the sport of hockey to be kind of painful. I think I started to annoy my poor husband with all of my sighing and groaning while I read those bits. Poor choices in the sports terminology used and just pretty unbelievable in that respect for me. However, I doubt that many of my romance-loving friends know (or care) as much about sports and hockey in particular as I do, and would love this book.
