I always enjoy Kerley's books, and this was no exception. Detective Carson Ryder is called from Alabama to New York City after a woman is found murdered and an "in case of emergency" video urges them to contact Carson. Carson's brother is a serial killer who murdered four women before being caught and imprisoned. Now he's escaped and it's up to Carson and the NYPD to find him. I really enjoyed this book. Jeremy is a fascinating character, and we learn quite a bit more about him in this book. Carson is a sympathetic and likeable character torn between his gratitude to his brother and his desire to be free of him.
