did not like it
Read from March 19 to 22, 2012

I kept thinking to myself, this is Stand By Me, except it's on a ship and the main characters are Sri Lankan instead of from Maine (Mainelanders?). And no Pie Eating Contest. (Boys with trouble, check. Strange other characters, check. Journey, check. Dead body - two of them, check check. Later boy grows up and dies tragically, check. I could probably go on, but I won't).

The other thing I kept saying to myself, like a chant, over and over again, was "Sink, ship, sink. Sink, ship, sink." Alas, it did not.
