excellent historical fiction regarding frank lloyd wright. i didn't know very much about him before this book but i really admired his interest in organic living and encompassing nature. his affair with mamah is interesting and heartbreaking. what a wonderful couple they would of been to meet and befriend. what ideas must have flown about in the places they stayed together. mamah is a rare find, intellectually stimulating at the turn of that century and able to leave a family. the latter alone is shocking for that time period and must have taken enormous strength to weather.

the ending... i had no idea... shocking, on the edge of my seat!
