This is an adventure of a 13 year old boy named B.J. who wants to become a megalord of rock. It starts out when a tall dude, named merv, comes up to his front door and asks to talk to his dad. B.J's dad and merv get into an argument, and merv leaves. As he leaves, something falls out of merv's pocket. When merv is out of sight B.J. runs to get what he knows as a notebook. When he goes to school the next day he looks through the notebook, and he notices it is a book about becoming the megalord of rock. He starts by making his own band, with his best friend, a girl drummer, and a very talented guitarist. They only practiced once before he is willing to preform in front of the D.O.G.S. Will he make a good impression? You must read to find out.

B.J. and Kevin are so much alike. They are both teenagers, that live in New York, and are both masters of rock. However they are also very much different. First, B.J. wears donkers, sings, and is Bon Jovi's son. Kevin, plays the bass, wears bootsy boots, and he knows every rock band. Even though the characters are all unique I personaly think that B.J. is better because at the beginning of the story he has no talent. By the end of the story he probably has one of the best talents you can have.

This book is perfect for teenagers going to middle school trying to fit in. It's a madcap adventure about rock and roll, friendship, and finding who you really are. It's face paced, funny at times, and an entertaining read. It doesn't have a lot of meat, but kids will certainly gooble there way into it.
