Well I'm torn on this one. It is a Newberry winner and it was written very well. It does an amazing job of weaving history into the story line. The problem I have with it is that my sixth graders aren't going to be captivated by it. I think this is a book that my parents would love but not so much my average student. It took me awhile to finish myself. I think most of my students wouldn't have the patience to ride it through to the end which is a shame because it is masterfully put together.

Wasn't that the book that won the Newberry Medal? I've heard it's good.

Gatlin (Stop Joseph Kony!) I think Mrs.Swisshelm talked about that.

^ @Gatlin she did talk about it, it looks really interesting, is it good so far?
