Lise is a weird but interesting character. "'Will you feel a presence? Is that how you'll know?''Not really a presence,' Lise says. 'The lack of an absence, that's what it is. I know I'll find it. I keep on making mistakes, though.'" According to the quotation, Lise's sixth sense is feeling the lack of an absence. I suppose it's this sense that makes her act the way she does. Even though she's selfish and whiny, I like her character, because she's tough enough to take the reader on a drive to Hell. Lise shows me not all main characters are good people and not all main characters survive, and I like that.
