really liked it

A heart-warming story about grief and loss, and an irrepressible Sheltie. I didn't love any of the human characters, I never really got attached to Justine the dog-owner but grew fond of the older couple. But I fell in love with Mack/Buddy. The perspective and time frame of the story fluctuated quite a bit sometimes making it confusing - a lot of flashbacks in both Justine's and Alice's life. But the parts that were written from the dog's perspective were really enjoyable.
