Read from March 17 to April 01, 2012

I didn't find myself comparing this to Middlesex while reading it since the two books are so different, but again, I appreciated Eugenides writing. Specifically, it was interesting to see scenes re-visited from different characters' points of view. It was nostalgic and often humorous to read about the college students' intellectual discoveries and discussions. But, as soon the characters' lives and problems seemed typical for their age, the story would become more interesting than just typical.

Erin Kessler We will soon be reading that in my book club. I really enjoyed his other novel -blanking on the name.

Lisa Lawless I read his last, Middlesex but haven't read The Virgin Suicides. Only saw the film version of that. Just finished The Marriage Plot and thought it was so good.
