While the writing and story had great potential, I found the place of faith in this novel to be overbearing at best. This book would be better suited for the "Inspirational" bookshelf / Christian reader. I enjoy a book that delves into faith and spirituality, but the approach of this book was a little too heavy handed to appeal. Unfortunately, I also felt that the "villain" characters were not rounded out well--they felt like stock characters, who were evil or vengeful because that's what they do best. That said, the two main characters were well presented and it was very refreshing to come across a romance that built slowly instead of relying on the "first glance" approach.
