really liked it
bookshelves: young-adult
Read from March 17 to 20, 2012

This thought provoking dystopian novel delves into the future practice of permanently silencing troubling teenagers by unwinding, or donating all their vital organs to more deserving persons. Shusterman's characterization is strong as usual and the world-building tight. Fans of Westerfeld's Uglies series will eat this up.

Lisa Sounds similar to Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go. I will check it out.

Carrie Shaurette Unwind is more targeted for a teenage audience, and I personally enjoyed it more than Never Let Me Go, but there are definitely similarities between the two.
