So I don't know if I completely love James Patterson or if his books upset me. He makes you grow attached to the main characters and then goes and kills them off. Part of me likes that for once, a book can surprise me since you don't think an author would kill off one of the main characters. On the other hand, you grow to like these characters and then they get ripped from you which changes the whole dynamic of the book. Its kind of a bittersweet relationship. But he does keep this book suspenseful and keeps you guessing as to who can be behind the August Spies. After they killed off Lindsay's love interest in the first book I was very upset since I really liked him. But after meeting Joe in this book, I like him even more than the first guy. I hope that he does pop back up in the next book and that he stays in Lindsay's life for a while.
