This book is really different. It takes pornography on beyond filth and exploitation, even beyond enticement. Hard to say what it's about, but I guess I'd say that if everyone's fantasies were happening in a place, that place would be the House of Holes, where you get all you want any way you want it, with nothing, not even amputation, stopping you. It turns sex into an all-you-can-eat buffet of bad Chinese food. Sort of. And he book itself is popcorn you just can't stop eating.

I note that many reviews complain about the lack of characterization and typical plot, but I think Baker is professional enough that we can assume he wrote the book this way on purpose. The book isn't porn. it's ABOUT porn, and what is porn but dehumanized characters in unreal plots?
