It was an ok book, well written story but not overly intertaining.
It is a good writing but I can't say it was very captivating, just a sad story really.
I got it as an audio book and probably would not finish it otherwise.
Two girls born in the family one is admirably gorges, while second one has genetic problem and could not stop growing, their mother dies delivering the baby. Leaving their father take care of the kids overwhelming task.
The hard life drive father to drinking and killing him when girls just a young children. The older sister is take into the nanny family who admire her beauty and treat her like a little queen, while second sister taken into a different family, poor and not with much to offer but kind and caring, the sister relationship are strange and complicated. The older sister doesn't want publicly show that her unattractive little sister "The Little giant" is actually related to her. So two sister growing up, the beauty queen who wants to get away from little town end up in unwanted marriage after getting pregnant from her the only date of the town most rich promising doctor son. While Little giant growing on the farm and making her friends with the little shy cousin and the smartest boy in school. The older sister leaves finally her husband and 8 years old son and follows her dream; while her husband tells everyone she is dead. So the Little Giant is taking on responsibilities of coming in leaving with her brother in law as a house keeper and take care of her nephew. There are clear hate relationship between now new doctor ( her brother in law ) and his house keeper. The child growing and his aunt truly love him, assured by her husband that her sister is dead. However the truth comes out and things do not end well for everyone.
