Be careful what you wish for.
I was sad after book 5 to hear there weren't going to be more in the series. I was happily surprised to find Adam. But a part of me wonders if she set out to make us cry through the whole book.
In the first few chapters, one beloved couple is murdered in front of their child. Another couple the wife goes insane, another one the best friend is killed. The orphaned child is avoided by extended relatives. And it just goes on.
Although this does end as happily as possible in a war time, with the help of time travel, it is still a very emotional book that tugs on your heartstrings every page.
Certainly not a book to jump into the series with, but a good read for those that have followed the series.
As far-fetched as the concept of the series is the author does a great job of making it believable. I hope to see more of this series in the future. As I'd still like to know what a Demon of Space does.
