Fun characters and the seaman's life is an interesting and unusual one. The timeline would often jump suddenly forward so I had a hard time knowing how much time passed between A and B or how long C took etc. The last chunk has a weird pace. You have a declining climax then a really long resolution then a sort of smaller climax then a bit of tension and after math and then it ends abruptly. It was just a little weird.

Over all it was fun and enjoyable but it also felt sort of inconsequential. Maybe reading more of the series would be more rewarding but I don't really plan to.
