it was amazing
bookshelves: modern-fantasy
Recommended for: Teachers and Parents of children fourth grade and up.
Read in February, 2012 , read count: 3

This book is about a 100 year old doll and her family. Every day is pretty much the same for the porcelain doll family and not much changes over the years other than the children who play with them. But one day a new plastic doll family is brought into their lives and begins to stir up trouble. These new dolls do not follow the "doll code of honor" and this causes some issues for the family of porcelain dolls. This book is a great book for children fourth grade and up. I would recommend teachers use this book to help teach students about the modern fantasy genre. The type of modern fantasy that I would classify this book as is personified toys and objects, which helps draw in students and keep their attention throughout the story.
