I only read the first of these 2 stories: Like a Wolf with a Bone by Shelly Laurenston. It's the story of how Eddie Smith (Dee-Ann's dad - he's a trained killer who terrifies most people) gets together with Darla Lewis, a sweet tempered pastry chef with a knack for making amazing pies. It's set in the 70s, and it's just as fun as all the other stories in this series - Pride series with a guest appearance by Magus Pack series characters. I laughed and smiled my way through their courtship. There was, of course, someone out to kill Darla, but isn't there always in Laurenston's books?

Cynthia Eden's story Wed or Dead annoyed me. I read 3 chapters and gave up. I don't like stories about backstabbing intrigue, especially when they start with the hero and heroine in grave danger. Didn't like it at all.
