When I finish the second book in a trilogy, I've got to ask myself do I want to read more, do I even care? and the answer to both question is an enthusiastic YES!!!
The fight continues here against the Eurdite and their leader Jeanine. Jeanine believes she know's a secret about the world outside the fence, and whatever it is she knows, she'll do anything in order to take control of society. So there are more simulations which only the Divergent can overcome. Jeanine targets the Divergent and experiments on one in particular, trying to figure out how to make a simulation that the Divergent can't control.
The love story between Four and Tris continues, but it's a relationship fraught with doubt on the part of Tris. There's a lot more of both Four's father and mother (both apparently power hungry individuals). The whole book is one big power trip by one leader or another with Tris mostly getting in the way or another.
