** spoiler alert ** After such thorough enjoyment of Delirium, I was expecting a lot from this book. Unfortunately, it did not deliver. Instead, it started to destroy everything that was great about the first book. Where in Delirium, we really saw the detachment people have from everything by having been cured, they don't seem nearly as detached here. How can there be protesting and riots that include adults in a society where everyone has been rendered so basically apathetic? The apathy that so intrigued me and disgusted me with the cure was hardly even there in Pandemonium. And did we really need the love triangle setup? There was just so much about this book that I didn't like. I ended up skimming the last half of the book just to get it finished. I don't know that I'll be spending my money on hardcover for the next book. I may just get it at the library, if I read it at all.
