really liked it

There are lots of ways to save a life that don't require jumping in front of a bus for someone. That's what this book is about -- about how sometimes you get so low you just need someone to pull you back up again. The book was definitely predictable, but the story was touching and the characters were so likable that I just couldn't help but keep turning the pages, even if the hints to the outcome were about a subtle as an elephant in the kitchen. :)

Story notes: Jill's dad has died. Her mom has decided to adopt a baby. Mandy is a pregnant teen from Council Bluffs (Woot!) looking to escape a depressing reality. The story is supplemented with a great cast of supporting characters in Jill's boyfriend and her new friend, Ravi, as well as her mom.
